Products description

RARE Special Edition Film (on VHS) that contains the Mal Evans Home Movies of THE BEATLES and PAUL McCARTNEY in 1966 and 1967! This VHS Video was made in The United Kingdom, and it is number 4068 in an edition strictly limited to 5000 copies ever made. Three Films were used to make this Video: PAUL McCARTNEY ON HOLIDAY IN KENYA, 1966 ~ COLORADO, U.S.A. 1967 ~ THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, 1967.

Box in good condition, no rust. Ø26,5cm. Used film cans were taken on purpose to give an authentic impression.

»This can contains one V.H.S. video in library case of three separate films of Paul McCartney on holiday in Kenya, 1966, Colorado, U.S.A. 1967 & Magical Mystery Tour location 1967. The films have been transferred for the first time onto V.H.S. video. We felt that many fans would like to have owned or purchased these films from Sotheby's but didn't have £9,500 to spend on these films, so now we have brought them to you, the hardcore Beatle fan at a fraction of that price. Note these films were purchased as silent home 8mm footage and have been brought to you as silent footage in a film can.
These films will appeal more to the hardcore fan, than a casual Beatles admirer and do not conzain any recordings.«

Please note: Video tapes can show signs of aging!

Magnetic tapes are considered a high-quality and reliable storage medium in direct comparison to other data carriers, such as commercially available CDs, DVDs and hard drives, which often give up the ghost after just a few years. Nevertheless, their lifespan is limited and is slowly coming to an end for video recordings from the 80s and 90s.

How long old VHS tapes will last cannot be answered exactly, as several factors such as storage, handling and equipment influence the lifespan. Despite optimal conditions, the quality of video recordings does not improve with age. In fact, the opposite is true. If recordings are significant, they should be digitized as soon as possible.
