Products description

Theme: DuckTales. Scrooge McDuck with first self-earned ten.
Original: Acrylic on canvas.

The Lucky Dime (Number One Dime, also known as the Lucky #1 Dime), is the first coin Scrooge McDuck ever earned. It first appeared in Four Color 495 [1953], drawn by Carl Barks. In that story, the dime is so old that it has become as thin as a razor blade, allowing Scrooge to cut binding ropes and escape the safecrackers. Since Carl Barks' 1961 The Midas Effect (US36), Magica De Spell has been trying to seize the dime.

In the DuckTales, the dime is a white metal coin marked with a large "10" on its surface. It is unclear whether this is the obverse ["heads"] or the reverse ["tails"].
